Visitor Policies & Safety Protocols
We look forward to welcoming you to Japan Society! It is our mission to provide a safe and secure environment for all of our valued patrons. Below are some guidelines to help you plan your visit.
Your health and safety are important to us. If you feel unwell, have tested positive, or think you may have been exposed to COVID-19 prior to your visit, please stay home. You may contact our Box Office to arrange an exchange or refund during regular business hours, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm: [email protected] or 212-715-1258.
If you have recently tested positive or have had symptoms of COVID-19, we ask that you stay home until symptoms improve and you are fever free for 24 hours without the aid of medication. After that time, you are welcome to visit Japan Society, but we ask that you please wear a mask if your visit occurs within the first 5 days following improvement of symptoms or the end of your fever, as a courtesy to our staff and other visitors.
There is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other infectious conditions in any public space where people are present. Those visiting Japan Society do so at their own risk.
Japan Society follows CDC and New York State and City updates carefully and will review and amend our guidelines according to their recommendations and mandates. Japan Society retains the right to close at its discretion. If Japan Society closes on the day or time of your visit following your ticket purchase, we will alert you and issue an automatic refund.
