36-hour professional development course for grade 6–12 educators in cooperation with the NYC Department of Education After School Professional Development Program

Create excitement and bring higher level thinking skills into your classroom! In this educator workshop, learn to introduce Japan to students through primary sources and authentic materials presented by historians and Japan specialists. Highlights include the introduction of newly translated primary sources and video materials never before available, multimedia primary sources such as visual art, cartoons and songs, and how to use primary sources in evaluations such as document-based questions.

TUITION
Non-credit: $125
3P credit: Non-refundable ASPDP Course Fee for NYC school teachers $125, Japan Society Registration Fee $100.
