Since the end of World War II, the partnership between the United States and Japan has facilitated peace and prosperity across Asia and around the world. Today, the U.S.-Japan Alliance is integral to the Obama Administration’s Asia-Pacific rebalance strategy. Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel R. Russel will discuss the latest developments in U.S.-Japan cooperation and outline next steps across a broad spectrum of security, economic, and global issues.
