Session I: 2-3pm & Session II: 3-4:15 pm (both sessions are the same, but Gagaku court music will be performed at 4 pm only)

Celebrate Japan’s New Year’s holiday with lion dancing (shishimai) accompanied by live taiko drumming and Gagaku court music. There will be lots of traditional New Year’s activities for children, including special New Year’s calligraphy (kakizome), kite-making/flying (takoage), funny-face game (fukuwarai) and rice pounding (mochi-tsuki).

Recommended for all ages.

Tickets per session:
$20 per family (up to 5 people)/$15 per family, including at least one Japan Society member.

Both sessions are now SOLD OUT.

Any unclaimed tickets will be released for resale at the start of each session.
