Lincoln Henderson, who has been called “A Living Legend of Bourbon” by Malt Advocate magazine, is known throughout the world as a leading expert on the production and maturation of whiskies. Mr. Henderson’s whisky connoisseurship is the result of 30 years of experience as a grain chemist and master distiller as well as countless visits to Japan, a country which is world-renowned for its meticulous distillation process. This evening, Mr. Henderson teaches Japan Society members about the unique characteristics of Japanese single malt whisky and conducts a tasting of Suntory Yamazaki 12-year and 18-year old whiskies at various stages of the aging process. Shin Adachi, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Suntory International Corp., Japan’s leading producer of single malt whisky, will also provide an in-depth introduction of the company’s whisky-making history.

Must be 21 years of age or older.  Proof of age is required at the door.

Followed by a reception. Seating limited to 60.

Tickets: $25; Japan Society members only.
