In Mexico, Asia, then Brazil, Russia, and now Argentina and Turkey, recent financial crises worldwide have spread to affect economies and even national stability. How can decision makers evaluate options in a time crunch, and what are the wider consequences of crises born in financial markets? Roger Kubarych, Henry Kaufman Senior Fellow for International Economics at the Council on Foreign Relations and Finance and Senior Economic Adviser to HVB America Inc., organized an unprecedented simulation exercise in crisis management with the participation of 75 leaders in finance, economics, foreign policy and security. The resulting book, Stress Testing the System, which details the lessons learned, will be the starting point for his talk on business and financial “war-gaming” in these uncertain times.

Includes continental breakfast.

Tickets: $15, Japan Society members $10.
