One of Japan’s leading poets, Kazuko Shiraishi has received the highest literary awards Japan has to offer and her poetry has been translated into more than 20 languages. In this program featuring readings in both Japanese and English she is joined by jazz trumpeter Itaru Oki and Samuel Grolmes and Yumiko Tsumura, translators of her recently published book, Kazuko Shiraishi: Let Those Who Appear.

Followed by a reception and booksigning.
