Wednesday, June 8 – Saturday, June 11

After delighting audiences in his native Japan and at London’s New Globe Theatre, famed actor/director Mansai Nomura brings his brilliant, fast-paced adaptation of “The Comedy of Errors” to East Coast audiences for the first time. In this witty reconstruction, Shakespeare’s classic tale of twins separated at birth gets a wild spin through the rich comic traditions of Japanese kyogen. The story unfolds fast and furiously amidst a flurry of authentic costumes, music and masks, celebrating The Bard’s universality through madcap cross-cultural extremes. In Japanese with English Subtitles.
