TAKE Dance Company, an 11-member modern dance ensemble created in 2003 by dancer/choreographer Takehiro Ueyama, celebrates its New York premiere with the highly anticipated performance series February 17-20th at the Joyce SoHo. The program premieres three pieces choreographed by Take including Black, Blue, Red, and Green, Sakura Sakura, and I Close My Eyes.  Known for his clean lines and serenity as a member of the Paul Taylor Dance Company, TAKE brings his formal training along with traces of his Japanese heritage into each piece ranging from the love duet Falling to the pure physicality of movement in Tsubasa.  Guest choreographer Kazuko Hirabayashi, formerly of the Martha Graham Dance Company, presents two works: Hibernation 3 and Les Reve D’Apres Midi.

Tickets: $20 General Ticket.  $15 for Students/Seniors. For reservations, please call the Joyce SoHo reservation line at 212.334.7479. For more information, please visit www.joyce.org
