Friends of The Loew’s invite you to see the restored version of Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai on the 50 foot wide screen of the historic 1929 Loew’s Jersey movie palace.

Shown at its original 207 minute length (previously released in American at an edited 141 minute length) with restored picture and sound. Japanese dialogue with English subtitles.

Commentary before film and Q&A afterwards by guest speaker, Professor Mitsuhiro Yoshimoto, Director of Graduate Studies at NYU’s School of East Asian Studies and author of Kurosawa: Film Studies & Japanese Cinema.
