Nihongo Chat + J-Culture: Kabuki Dance

Join Japanese-language students and native Japanese speakers at this informal gathering to practice Japanese and English! Anyone with some Japanese and English language experience is welcome to attend. 日本人の方、英語を勉強中の方、ふるってご参加ください!日本に興味のある人たちや日本語を勉強中の人たちと楽しく会話をしましょう。
For 30 minutes during the January 21st meeting, kabuki dance master Kyoko Ohnishi will be demonstrating the art of kabuki, a traditional theatrical dance form that is highly emblematic of Japan’s rich art culture. Ohnishi Sensei was granted a masters certificate in Kabuki-style dance at the Soke-Fujima Ryu in Tokyo and New York and lectures and performs throughout the tristate area.
1月21日の語学交換会では、日本語・英語での会話の間に、30分間大西鏡子先生による伝統的な歌舞伎舞踊を見学頂きます。大西先生は宗家藤間流より歌舞伎舞踊師範の称号を授与されており、ニューヨーク近郊にて講師および舞踊家としてご活躍されています。
