Two young brothers live a poor and difficult life alone on a small island. One day, their mother shows up after a long absence, bringing with her their elder sister, whom they had never known. Then, their mother leaves them again, but she has sold their house and the remaining three in the family must move to a small apartment. Learning that their sister is working at a sex shop, the older boy decides to be independent and earn money to buy back their house. Junji Sakamoto’s bittersweet film is adapted from Rieko Saibara’s manga.
