In this one-night-only multimedia performance followed by an artist’s talk, Yasumasa Morimura delves into the intermingled paths of his personal story, the history of Japan, and the history of art in Japan after WWII. Metamorphosing before the eyes of the audience into renowned figures from modern times, he questions the variety of interpretations that arise from the notion of "self" which he has developed in his artistic practice over the past 30 years.

Followed by a reception with the artist.

Each ticket includes same day, complimentary admission to Yasumasa Morimura: Ego Obscura. The Gallery will stay open until 7:30 PM for visitors to peruse the exhibition.
