Descend the stairs of Tokyo-esque Sakagura and be prepared for the soba-inspired feast of your life! Watch a private soba-making demonstration by the chef of New York City’s Sobaya, and learn about the history and the various preparations of Japan’s beloved noodle. In addition, enjoy a soba-centric menu prepared by Sobaya (menu below).
Admission
$125 per person (includes a five-course menu and a selection of sake, plus tax and gratuity). Limited to 20 people.

Appetizers:
Traditional fish cake (かまぼこ), Japanese egg omelet (卵焼き)
and Miso with soba kernels (蕎麦味噌)
Main Menu:
Sobagaki (蕎麦掻き), gnocchi-style buckwheat dough with a soy sauce based dipping sauce
Soba sushi (蕎麦寿司), sushi roll made with soba, shrimp tempura and nori
Nishoku soba (二色蕎麦), two variations of cold soba
Dessert:
Soba manju (蕎麦饅頭), steamed soba bun with sweet red bean paste
Accompanied by sake pairings
