Join us for a one-hour tour of The Noguchi Museum’s permanent collection and the special exhibition Best of Friends: R. Buckminster Fuller and Isamu Noguchi. Opened in 1985 by Isamu Noguchi (1904-88), The Noguchi Museum presents the most comprehensive collection of the artist’s works. The museum is dedicated to sharing Noguchi’s vision and articulating the period in which he worked, the major cultural figures with whom he engaged, and his influence on contemporary art. Best of Friends documents the close friendship between Noguchi and architect and inventor R. Buckminster Fuller through sculptures, photographs, drawings and models. Following the tour, participants will return to Japan Society for a traditional bento box lunch. Space is limited, reservations required. Members should meet at 10 am at Japan Society. Bus transportation provided.

Tickets $55, Japan Society members only.  For tickets, please call the Box Office at (212) 715-1258.  Ticket orders will be accepted by phone or in person until May 23 at 4 pm.
