Create and learn about Japanese art this summer! Artists and arts educators lead hands-on workshops on topics such as printmaking, calligraphy, manga and mask-making. During the intensive weeklong program, aspiring artists and art aficionados will create artwork, learn about Japanese art history and meet artists and experts in the field. The workshop culminates in a student-run art opening and reception for friends and family. Open to students entering 9th-12th grade in Fall 2013. No prior art experience necessary.

  • Participants must be high school students as of September 2013.
  • Participants must attend all of the scheduled workshop sessions and the art opening (8/19-23, 10 am-4:30 pm and 8/24, 12:00-4:30 pm).
