Baseball has been one of the most popular sports in Japan ever since it was introduced from the U.S. during the early Meiji period. In recent years, several Japanese baseball players are making waves in the American Major Leagues and enjoying great popularity and media coverage in Japan. Mariyon Robertson, Executive Managing Director of Insignia/ESG, Inc., is a professional baseball consultant and writes on baseball. He is joined by Hatsumi Asaka, Producer of Major League Club at NHK Enterprises America.
