

Katsura Zakoba is one of the most renowned rakugo (the traditional Japanese art of comic storytelling) masters today. An award-winning storyteller with 40 years of experience, master Zakoba is also known as an accomplished actor in both theater and film, including, most recently, a role in Nagisa Oshima’s Gohatto (Taboo). In this rare U.S. appearance, he performs his favorite pieces and some improvisations.
