Part 1 and Part 2 full; to be added to the waitlist, please email [email protected] or call 212-715-1269.

PLEASE NOTE: These workshops will be conducted online via Zoom. To participate fully, you will need access to a device with internet, microphone, and camera (such as a laptop, smartphone, or tablet). Please note that all times listed are New York time (ET).

Why is stroke order important? Why are there multiple readings of the same Kanji? Is there an efficient and less painful way to learn new ones? What can I do to overcome my “Kanji allergy?”

Join us in these fun, hands-on workshops for adult learners (ages 16 and up) and get a jumpstart toward reading and writing Japanese with more confidence!

For students in Levels 1–4, these workshops are a perfect introduction to Kanji.

For students in Levels 5–9, these workshops will be an excellent opportunity to revisit the fundamentals of Kanji to reinforce your existing and future Kanji knowledge.

Part 1 Workshop:

In this workshop, you will be guided through the fundamental concepts of Kanji structure, bushu (radicals), on & kun readings, and more.

Part 1 is the equivalent of the previous “Kanji Workshop” offered through Spring 2021.

Part 2 Workshop:

In Part 2, you will be introduced to some of the most essential bushu (Kanji radicals). You will see how easily and quickly bushu can help increase your Kanji repertoire.

This is a continuation of Kanji Workshop Part 1, and Part 1 is a prerequisite to taking Part 2. Please note: Anyone who has attended a previous “Kanji Workshop” through Spring 2021 (equivalent of Part 1) may register for Part 2.

Due to this being a language learning workshop, we highly recommend having your video on if possible. We do ask that every participant is able to participate via their microphone. If you do not have this capability, please contact us at [email protected].
