Doll Festival (Hinamatsuri) in Japan is a time to wish for the health and future happiness of young girls. Educator Michiyo Kigawa introduces Hinamatsuri through song, dance and storytelling. Children are invited to taste festival-related snacks and drinks and help decorate ceremonial dolls (hina-ningyo)! Children and families will create a variety of hina dolls to take home. (Boys are welcome to participate.)

Recommended for children ages 3-10 and accompanying adults.

TICKETS

Per session: $12/$5 Japan Society members; children ages 2 or under free.
Members may purchase tickets for family at the discounted price.
