Back by popular demand! In this creative workshop, you’ll get the skills you need to master the meditative art form of bonsai — potted tree cultivation. Led by expert botanist and bonsai specialist Julian Velasco, this day-long event features an in-depth morning seminar on the history and craft of this classical Japanese art form, an exclusive viewing of rare examples, a discussion around the two bonsai recently installed in our lobby, and a hands-on practicum with your own bonsai tree.
Tickets: $125/$110 Japan Society members, seniors & students. Ticket price covers seminar, lecture and workshop, and bonsai tree. Capacity for this event is extremely limited.
