Workshop

Sunday, May 4 at 1 pm

Musician and shakuhachi craftsman Perry Yung guides participants in crafting their own shakuhachi from raw bamboo stock, cutting, drilling and shaping a functional instrument. After instruction on basic playing technique, participants will be able to leave with their own functional, natural instrument!

This crafting workshop will last approximately 3 ½ hours. Materials and tools are provided. Participants do not need to have experience working with hand tools. Please wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting a little bamboo dust on.
