Power of Negotiation: Strategies & Techniques for Success

April 17, 2024
Private Event past event

Negotiation is a vital skill in the workplace, crucial for navigating discussions spanning salary negotiations, promotions and complex agreements. What unique challenges do women encounter in negotiations? What constitutes effective negotiation skills, and how can women adeptly handle tough negotiations? In this workshop, participants develop the skills to ask for the resources and support they need to advance professionally, build the collaborations necessary for success, and achieve leadership roles across their organizations or institutions. Using a combination of lectures, interactive exercises, videos and group discussion, this workshop explores the internal and external barriers that can prevent women from negotiating effectively, introduces “best practice” negotiation strategy, and describes ways for women to maximize their bargaining power, set the right targets for each negotiation, and ask in ways that increase their chances of success.
