Beginner to advanced students can learn to speak, read, and write Japanese in these courses and workshops. Courses are structured across a repeating schedule of six (6) semesters each year. For upcoming semester dates, please look at the Language Center Course Schedule.

Spring Japanese

January 27 – April 7, 2025

Thirteen levels of Japanese, from beginner to advanced, emphasizing conversation, listening, reading and writing. Kanji and other special topic courses are also offered. Online and in-person courses available. Early pricing discount is available through Tuesday, January 7.

Current Courses

Winter Japanese (Select Levels)

December 2024– January 2025

These courses are equivalent to the 10-week semester courses. Levels 1 and 2 are offered online and in-person, and the Review: Genki II course is offered online. Complete beginners: join us for Level 1!

Winter Conversational Japanese

December 2024 – January 2025

These courses are conversation-intensive, with the aim of strengthening the student’s ability to communicate effectively. All levels are offered online, and some levels are offered in-person.
