Ecological & Innovative Materials in Architecture with Kengo Kuma & Shuhei Hasado
In a time of pressing environmental issues and large-scale natural disasters, energy efficient, safe, and well-designed housing and structures are increasingly sought after. Kengo Kuma‘s thoughtful design and use of natural materials, which integrate with their environment, and his focus on the interaction between user and structure have garnered him international regard and recognition. In this special talk event, he is joined by modern plasterer Shuhei Hasado, known for his innovative use of traditional techniques and natural materials, to discuss ecological and creative material use in architecture. This event will be moderated by Rick Bell, FAIA: Executive Director of AIANY (American Institute of Architects).
