Time’s Journey Through a Room, written by renowned Japanese playwright Toshiki Okada, is a portrait of how we move forward from unprecedented life events. Part love story, part ghost story and set one year after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan, this soulful play observes how hope can spring up alongside sadness and fear, and change can be realized if we are awake to the present moment. This English-language production of Okada’s play is the third collaboration between PlayCo, Toshiki Okada, Aya Ogawa and Dan Rothenberg, Obie Award-winning director and co-founder of the critically acclaimed Pig Iron Theatre Company.
