Kristin J. Forbes, a member of the Council of Economic Advisers specializing in international issues, discusses international economic policy, including the role of foreign investment, a rising China and the impact of lagging economic reforms in Japan. Dr. Forbes is also on the faculty of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management. She previously served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Quantitative Policy Analysis, Latin American and Caribbean Nations at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. She has broad international experience with the National Council of Applied Economic Research in India and the World Bank.
