Directed by Hiroshi Inagaki. Written by Mansaku Itami, based on a novel by Shunsaku Iwashita. Cinematography by Kazuo Miyagawa. Music by Goro Nishi. With Tsumasaburo Bando, Ryunosuke Tsukigata, Keiko Sonoi and Akio Sawamura.


Prewar movie star Tsumasaburo Bando plays the role of a rickshaw man, nicknamed Reckless Matsu, who befriends the widow of a military general and her son. Matsu’s drum beating at the festival in Kokura is featured in the film.
