The Art of Ink: Summer Workshop for High School Students

We regret to inform that the Workshop for High School Students, The Art of Ink has been canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you will join us again for our high school programs in the future.

Explore the world of Japanese ink art in a one-week workshop that exposes you to the fundamentals of traditional and modern art forms of sumi-e, calligraphy, fish printing and more. Learn from professional working artists, including master calligrapher Masako Inkyo, sumi-e artist Ayakoh Furukawa and gyotaku printmaker Joe Mullins, as you practice traditional techniques and methods and create your own unique work. Learn curatorial skills and exhibit your favorite pieces in the student exhibition open to family and friends.

Tuition: $300/$250 Japan Society members
