Shiori, the only female student ever accepted by Tomitaro, the reigning kabuki onnagata (female-impersonator), commits suicide wearing her costume. Seeking an answer to the mystery of Shiori’s death, Haruka, Shiori’s twin sister and a modern dancer, approaches Tomitaro and watches him perform the kabuki dance Musume dojoji. Fascinated and enthralled, she decides to become Tomitaro’s student, and gradually finds herself drawn toward him, realizing that her sister could have felt the same way.
