Shichigosan: Celebrating the Health of Children

Celebrate the growth and good health of children ages 3, 5 and 7 through the Shinto ritual of Shichigosan (“seven-five-three” in Japanese). Three- and 5-year-old boys and 3- and 7-year-old girls of all nationalities and religions, with accompanying adults, are invited to participate in this traditional celebration. Co-sponsored with the International Shinto Foundation.

Rental kimono though ISF will not be available. If you bring your own kimono, a changing room for children will be available. 

Eligibility
Boys aged 3 and 5, girls aged 3 and 7, and their accompanying adults such as parents or relatives are eligible to participate.

All nationalities are welcome. One registration permits up to 5 people including participating child. To accommodate more family members, please contact the International Shinto Foundation in advance. 

Admission
$70 per child (includes a donation to UNICEF, gift candy and talisman).
