Revitalizing Corporate Japan: A Prescription for Growth – Embracing Change in Corporate Japan
Japan Society and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) are co-organizing an event to address strategic priorities that are facing today’s leaders. PwC recently sat down with over 60 Japanese CEOs, academics, and senior business and political leaders to learn about how they are responding to an increasingly complex global business environment. As Japan continues on the path to recovery, it must manage simultaneous pressures, including an aging society, energy security, resource scarcity and fierce competition from Asian nations in its own backyard. Traditional industry structures and boundaries are also reconfiguring. Automotive, energy, electronics, retail and consumer, manufacturing, and financial services are just examples of leading sectors in Japan whose definition no longer conforms to familiar economic norms. Japanese organizations and their leaders now need to make new connections across business and functional and geographical boundaries to identify and respond to opportunities and risks. This event will share some of the findings from PwC’s report "Revitalizing Corporate Japan: A Prescription for Growth," which will be released in Tokyo on September 4, 2012.
Hosted by Motoatsu Sakurai (President, Japan Society), Robert Moritz (Chairman and Senior Partner, PwC USA) and Juan Pujadas (Vice Chairman Global Advisory Services, PwC).
