OFF-SITE EVENT An Evening with Japanese Kyogen Actor & Director Mansai Nomura

Spend an evening with Mansai Nomura, whom The Daily Yomiuri called “Kyogen’s most promising young actor”and join in a lively discussion on the joys and traditions of kyogen. The evening includes a demonstration by the members of Mansaku-no-Kai Kyogen Company and a discussion with Joanne Akalaitis, Wallace Benjamin Fint and L. May Hawver Flint Professor of Theater at Bard College, moderated by Samuel L. Leiter, noted scholar of traditional Japanese theater and Professor at Brooklyn College, CUNY.

This event is held at the Martin E. Segal Theatre at The Graduate Center, CUNY, located at 365 Fifth Avenue at 34th Street.
