Not Held at the Japan Society – Izumi Ashizawa Benefit Exhibition and Gala Performance

This exhibition of sculptural works is organized to raise funds for a world tour of Izumi Ashizawa Performance’s latest piece “The Blue Rocks”, a fusion of Japanese Noh theatre and Greek tragedy with original music and masks. The gala concert features Matthew Daline (viola) and Jennifer Choi (violin), and consists primarily of modern music pieces, including Zorn’s new solo violin composition and works by Bartok, Hindemith, and Reger.
