Profile:
Yoshinobu Iwanaga was born in Osaka, Japan. He graduated from the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris with top honors and gave a school-sponsored recital at the ‘salle cortot’ as one of the best graduates of the year. He won first in the International Guitar Competition of Gargnano, Italy and second prize in the International Guitar Competition of Paris.  Then he pursued his career as a concert guitarist and was widely acclaimed for his exceptional talent and virtuosity through his concert appearances in Europe, Africa and Southeast Asia.  Iwanaga’s music has never been recorded onto CD as he believes only live performance can maintain the quality and integrity his music aims to express.
