Momotaro Dance Workshop for Toddlers/Preschoolers
Play Group: Drop in between 2:00-4:00 pm
Dance Session 1: 2:30 pm
Dance Session 2: 3:15 pm
Children are invited to enjoy crafts, nursery rhymes and dances related to the classic Japanese children’s story Momotaro (Peach Boy). Led by Theatre Banana, a troupe of professional actors and directors who are inspired by their own young children, participants will play in a relaxed, fun and welcoming environment. Families are welcome to drop in at any time during the play group (2-4 pm) and attend either or both dance sessions (2:30 pm and 3:15 pm). Children are encouraged to put the nursery rhymes and dances they learn in action during the Momotaro play performance at Celebrating Japan’s Children’s Day through Performance & Crafts-Making: Kodomo no hi, our festival on Sunday, May 5 at 2 pm!
Recommended for children ages birth to four and accompanying adults. Space is limited. Free admission, but preregistration is required by emailing [email protected] by Sunday, April 28.
