The wireless content industry is growing rapidly, and some of the largest and most innovative investments in the U.S. landscape have been made by Japanese companies, who have exciting stories to tell. This unique conference examines the direction of the industry, highlighting both emerging companies and corporate dealmakers. Hear from venture capitalists and investors about the challenges, trends and issues of funding and valuating high-growth wireless ventures, and from mobile and content industry experts about current licensing, development and distribution issues.

Roundtable discussions on:

Japanese Mobile Funding & Acquisitions: The international market, led by Japanese-based firms, are funding and acquiring domestic-based wireless content companies.  According to NVCA, VC based M&A market doubled last quarter in the number of transactions, with valuations of $30 to $50 in the mobile content space.  This panel is will attempt to uncover the reasons for international mobile transactions.

Valuation of the Mobile Industry: The amount of overage of Venture Capital dollars has started reach levels of the pre 2000 internet boom as more and more investment sources pour money into VC funds. VC’s, however, are being much more cautious now when investing in mobile opportunities.  This panel will attempt to understand company valuations and the secrets to getting funded.

Deals & Licensing in Mobile Development: Mobile deals have given emerging startups revenue stream while negotiating with publishers, content holders, carriers, and their respective agencies.
