Shunsuke Kaneko (of the Gamera trilogy) created this intriguing thriller based on the bestselling stories of Miyuki Miyabe. Pyrokinesis focuses on a quiet and beautiful young woman, Junko (Akiko Yada), who is born with secret ESP that enables her to incinerate anything on command. Her simple and uneventful life is disrupted when a group of teenage thugs brutally kills her friend’s sister and the story develops into a series of battles between her powers and unexpected yet ruthless foes.
