Manga 101 – Character Basics
Mondays, July 8—July 29, 5:30-6:30 PM ET

Join us for this summer 4-session course on the basics of drawing manga characters. We’ll learn how to draw a character from a hit series to practice anatomy and facial expressions, then start our own character from scratch by finding our own ideas. Whether you are a total beginner looking for a start in the world of manga art, or are looking for a refresher on the foundations of drawing manga characters, this is the course for you!

About Manga for Teens: Our Teen Manga Workshops offer budding artists the chance to explore the rich world of Japan’s most popular cultural export in a group of like-minded peers and with guidance from professional artists. Students will get to draw characters from their favorite series and try a variety of popular styles, all while developing the fundamentals necessary to create their own original characters and manga with their own unique artistic voices.

Both complete beginners and experienced artists are welcome to enroll.
