“A star from the East.”
Dance Europe

The bad boy of butoh, Kim Itoh continues to fascinate audiences with his ingenuity, theatricality and cunning imagination. His fusion of ballet, butoh and Western theater defies categorization. Performances veer from the ghostly to the effervescent, from the esoteric to the mundane, and from deadpan seriousness to wry humor. Itoh is a choreographer with a consummate sense of body, time and spatial structure. His enigmatic vision of the body in a landscape of dance is presented with acute originality and aesthetic sensitivity. Kim Itoh + the Glorious Future perform the world premiere of F.T. and Itoh performs his dazzling improvisational solo Dancing to the Radio.
