Internationally acclaimed artist Hiroshi Senju is widely recognized for revolutionizing modern Japanese painting with his monumental and semi-abstract landscapes. He discusses his series of fusuma (sliding door) paintings, commissioned by Daitoku-ji Temple in Kyoto and currently on display at Japan Society as part of the exhibition The New Way of Tea, with acclaimed American painter Robert Kushner.
