Alice in Wonderland meets Beetlejuice and Dario Argento: Nobuhiko Obayashi’s House is a hallucinatory take on the classic haunted house story. A schoolgirl invites six female classmates to join her on a visit to her aunt’s creaky country mansion. Soon, they come face to face with evil spirits, bloodthirsty pianos, and a demonic housecat.

A bona fide cult classic in the making, House is one of the most exciting genre discoveries in years.
