Volunteering is a great way to build a closer relationship with one’s local community, but it is often difficult for newcomers and foreigners to find the right opportunities. NY de Volunteer, a Japanese community organization, is an information resource center and facilitator for volunteers. Noriko Hino, Executive Director and a founding member of the organization, discusses how to raise awareness, what kinds of services are provided and how to help participants make a stronger connection with the larger New York community.

In Japanese.

Tickets: $10; Japan Society members & seniors $8; students $5.
