HERE & THERE – Tales of the Echo (Yamabiko Monogatari)

The Yamabiko Theatrical Company (Yamabiko no Kai) will present the Japanese musical Tales of the Echo (Yamabiko Monogatari) written by the late Sawako Ariyoshi in its U.S. debut. Written in 1975, the musical is for both children and adults to enjoy, and is a story based on well-known traditional Japanese otogibanashi folk tales such as “The Heavenly Maiden (Tennyo),” “The Princess of the Sea (Otohime),” “The Tortoise and the Hare (Usagi to Kame),” “The Racoon Dog (Tanuki)” and the “Young Girl and the Echo (Yamabiko).”

Performed in English and Japanese.
