Gagaku Salon Concert

Master musicians of gagaku perform on and discuss bamboo instruments from medieval Japan in an intimate salon setting: inside the Japan Society Gallery exhibition New Bamboo: Contemporary Japanese Masters. Featuring Ko Ishikawa on sho, Hitomi Nakamura on hichiriki and Takeshi Sasamoto on ryuteki. 45 minutes per session. Limited to 30 people per session.

Held in conjunction with Gagaku Revolution: New Sounds of Ancient Bamboo.
