Family Art Day: Fun with Ink- Inspiration from Zen Paintings
Join us for an unforgettable day of family fun! Families and children are invited to experience the serene world of Zen at Japan Society’s latest exhibition, None Whatsoever: Zen Paintings from the Gitter-Yelen Collection. Guided by a knowledgeable museum educator, families will explore and discuss selected artworks spanning over four centuries of ink paintings and calligraphies by Buddhist monks. Afterwards, families will create their own Zen ink art inspired by the exhibition.
Tickets: $10/$5 Japan Society members; children ages 2 and under free. Limited free tickets available for Cool Culture members. Advance ticket purchase required. Limited to 35 participants. Recommended for children ages 5-10 and accompanying adults. This event will be photographed.
