Educators who work with students of all ages are invited to explore how Japan Society’s new exhibit Hiroshi Sugimoto: Gates of Paradise can connect with your curriculum and classroom objectives. Explore Japanese art from an innovative global perspective in which classical nanban screen paintings and contemporary photographs are juxtaposed highlighting the historical cross-cultural interactions between Japan and Europe during the medieval period.

Japan Society’s Gallery is an exceptional resource for educators of all disciplines. Through a lively discussion and gallery tour, learn how to help your students make deep and meaningful connections with the art at Japan Society.

Evening includes:

  • Customized tour led by curator (5 PM)
  • Delicious refreshments and snacks
  • Hands-on art-workshop opportunity
  • Meet-and-greet with Japan Society staff
  • An opportunity to meet fellow educators

Please RSVP to save your spot. For more information, please email [email protected] or call (212) 715-1275.
