Nagoya TV’s controversial documentary explores the Japanese role and responsibility in Singapore during WWII. When the Japanese military occupied Singapore, a British scholar in charge of the Botanical Garden risked his own life by requesting that Japanese commanders protect precious cultural and natural heritages during the war. Japanese scholars also supported his efforts. Producer and director Hachiro Ikeda introduces the film.

Tickets: $9, Japan Society members, students & seniors with appropriate ID, $5.
