Noted textile expert Stephen Szczepanek, owner of Brooklyn gallery Sri, offers a hands-on seminar exploring the history of Japanese textiles and the importance of materiality and preservation. In this event, interact with a variety of fibers and cloth—including full garments—from Japan that showcase Japan’s textile history before and after the advent of cotton..

Tickets: $40/35 members, seniors & students. Previous experience is not necessary. Space is limited and advance registration is required. Program fee includes materials and admission to the gallery.
