One year ago Citigroup CEO Charles Prince assumed the helm of the world’s largest financial services company bank. He has overseen Citigroup’s diverse and dynamic business in the face of domestic challenges and considerable uncertainty in global markets. Citigroup is Asia’s largest foreign financial institution and continues to exhibit a commitment to and confidence in Asian markets as a key part of its strategy going forward. It is one of the few foreign banks not only to remain but also to invest and thrive during the decade-long slump in Japan. How does Citigroup envision the future of banking globally? Mr. Prince will discuss Citigroup’s perspective on the evolving Japanese banking scene, the banking industry in Asia, and what it means to be a global bank.
